Follow route NYM17 to the climb past Arden Hall. Just after the second climb up through the quarry, a track turns off sharp left. There is no signpost. Follow this track as it bends east and then south (The views over Hawnby Hill and towards the east are fantastic). Follow this bridleway across Dale Town Common to the Sneck Yate Bank road. Turn right at the road and follow past the the Sutton Bank road to the left. Just as the road stats to descend a bridleway turns off on the right towards Boltby. This is an overgrown double track making a nice bit of single track. Follow this right through to the road joining the Paradise Farms. Kep on this narrow lane towards High Paradise and take the left fork into Boltby Forest ( Signposted).

The route through the forest is too complex to write, so I have given the grid references below. If you can get hold of the forestry map simply follow the red route clockwise as far as the gate on Gallow Hill.(You could always do the black loop too).

From Gallow Hill, go through the gate and follow the grassy bridleway angling up the hill above Clarke Scars to join the Drove Road and back on route NYM17.
